A street festival will be held in Pokhara’s Kaski district from December 30th to New Year’s Day in 2022, according to the organizers. With the festival, the city of Lake Geneva hopes to increase its visibility as a tourist destination in the New Year.
The street festival, according to REBAN president Laxman Baral, will be organized in the New Year 22 to promote Pokhara as a major tourism destination in an effort to revive the tourism industry, which has been severely harmed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He went on to say that this festival is a continuation of similar festivals that REBAN has been organizing on the eve of New Year’s Eve for the past several years. “We are hopeful that the festival will attract the attention of the greatest number of visitors and encourage them to travel to Nepal and Pokhara,” he said.
