Bimalendra Nidhi expresses his support for Deuba.

Bimalendra Nidhi, another candidate for President, has decided to Sher Deuba, the candidate for President of the 14th Nepali Convention.

Re-voting has begun in the Convention election after none of the candidates for President received 51 of the vote. The two candidates who received the most votes in the first round, Deuba and Shekhar Koirala, are competing in the second round. Voting will begin today at 3:30 p.m.

The Congress constitution requires that more than half of the votes cast for the election be cast. If, for the first time, no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, a re-vote will be between the two candidates who the most votes. In a re-election, the candidate with the most votes wins.

Kalyan Gurung, another candidate for the position, has stated that he will support Deuba’s candidacy. Gurung received 22 votes in the first round.

Prakash Man Singh, a presidential candidate, had previously stated his support for Deuba.
